Long-range Tata Nexon EV to launch on May 11
The long-range Nexon EV will have a 30 percent larger battery than the current model and is expected to have an estimated range of about 400km.
Long-Range Tata Nexon EV Launch date in India
After several tests, the Tata Nexon EV with long-range is all set to launch in the Indian market on May 11. The company is working hard to further expand its portfolio of EVs as it unveiled the new Avinya Electric concept on Friday. The long-range Nexon ev will be introduced on top of the existing Nexon EV. The updated Nexon EV will have a number of features, including new alloy wheels, rear disc brakes, and more.
Exterior Changes
However, the exterior will remain largely the same as the current model, in terms of interior, the long-range Nexon EV will be offered with the features of the existing model, except for the upholstery. The cabin will come with a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system, semi-digital instrument cluster, automatic AC, and sunroof. In addition, the company will see ventilated front seats, an auto-dimming IRVM, and an air purifier in the long-range variant of the 2022 Tata Nexon EV.
Tata Nexon EV Battery & Range
Tata Motors, in conjunction with an electric motor, is expected to offer a larger battery pack of 40 kWh, producing 136 PS of power. The current Nexon EV is powered by a 30.2 kWh battery pack and an electric motor cumulatively produces 129 PS of power and 245 Nm of torque. Once charged, the current EV claims an ARAI range of 312 km. The new version of Tata Nexon EV Long Range is expected to have a claimed range of over 400 km on a single charge.

Other safety features include the new Tata Nexon EV with features like cruise control, electronic stability control, and park mode. While the price of the new Nexon EV may be Rs. 3-4 lakhs more than the existing model, the price of the existing Nexon EV ranges from Rs. Once launched, it will compete with potential competitors, such as the MG ZS EV and Hyundai Kona Electric.
