Recently, Tata Motors launched two new electric SUV concepts – CURVV and AVINYA. While the Tata Curvv is a mid-size coupe SUV based on the Generation 2 architecture of the brand.
Gene 3 EV Platform
Avinya is the third generation electrification plan that outlines the Gene 3 EV platform. Natarajan Chandrasekaran, Chairman, of Tata Group, stated that the company aims to enter 30% EV market by 2030.
Commenting on its expansion into the EV space, the automaker states that “we are benchmarking to be among the best people and have very high aspirations. Tata’s Gen 2 platform is said to be about “making the architecture more EV ready and Gen 3 eliminates the barriers of multi-energy and offers the freedom of clean EV. The domestic automaker will manufacture batteries locally, despite the government’s PLI (Production-Linked Incentive) scheme.
Tata Motors Upcoming Electric Car
The electric SUV concept seems to be a mix of a hatchback and an MPV. One of its design highlights is the new LED light signature which will also be seen on future models of Tata. It has a wide grille with slim headlamps and a front splitter.
Tata adopts a minimal design strategy for its interior. Is newly-designed steering with an integrated performance. You can see the wing-mounted rearview camera at both ends of the dashboard. The Tata Avenya Electric SUV concept offers ample cabin space for five middle-aged people, with bucket seats and bench-style seats at the rear.
