New Gen Mahindra Scorpio 2022

The long awaited next generation model of Mahindra Scorpio. This SUV has also been spotted during testing on many different occasions. But even before the launch of this SUV, the spare parts of its new model have entered the market. A picture is going viral on the internet showing the taillights of this new SUV. Allegedly, this taillight has been spotted at a dealership in Karol Bagh, Delhi.

Leak Design

Vehicle manufacturers usually order parts for their vehicles from different vendors, and designs for different parts are shared between different agencies. This leads to leaks of designs and also increases the possibility of counterfeit products entering the market. Interestingly, this is not the first time that parts of Mahindra’s vehicles have arrived before the launch of the real models!

Mahindra Thar

Prior to the official launch of Mahindra Thar in 2020, aftermarket front grills were already being stocked by auto parts dealers. However, they were custom-built parts and were built using the vehicle manufacturer’s design and dimension charts, not replica parts from the OEM. But this taillight of Mahindra Scorpio looks very much like its original design.

When will the new Mahindra Scorpio launch?

The next generation model of Mahindra Scorpio will be introduced in the market very soon. The company has made a number of major changes to the next generation Mahindra Scorpio that set it apart from the current model. It can be launched with two new types of sunroof. Initially the company will offer a standard size sunroof, but later it will be offered with a panoramic sunroof.

New Scorpio Exterior Look

According to reports, this SUV is coming with a tremendous makeover. It has traditional upright styling, but it has a sharp looking headlamp decorated with chrome. LED projector set-up can also be seen in its top variants, although the lower variant can be offered with halogen lamps.

Engine

Mahindra has designed the new Scorpio on an updated ladder frame chassis which can also be seen in the new Thar. It is believed that this SUV can also share powertrain from Thar. The new Scorpio is expected to come with 2.0-liter petrol and 2.2-liter diesel engine options. Mahindra offers both manual and automatic gearboxes on both the engines. Not only this, all the wheel drive system can also be seen in its top variant.
